Reminder (from someone who care)

I think I have talked about this before, I can’t remember. I need to dig through my old writings and discussion on Politikana, but I guess I’ll write it again anyway just because of the momentum.

FPI, a real threat of democracy that’s also a bastard child of democracy and facism. Why do I put democracy as one of those that gave birth to FPI? Because it is.

We all used to struggle for the freedom of speech, freedom to form organization and freedom to study everything we want to study. This lead to the freedom to create organization that subtly (okay, that was sarcasm).

Let’s quote:

(Habib Rizieq, Ketua Umum FRONT PEMBELA ISLAM, 2007).”

Okay, “amar ma’ruf nahi munkar” or in English more or less means: “be close to the good and be far from the bad” IS a universal phrase, not limited to Islam as a religion only. But let’s look a bit deeper.

I don’t think I need to explain more, but the main idea of the group itself is already against Pancasila, the highest source of law of this country.

Because even if we wanna go back to Piagam Jakarta, FPI fail to fulfill the content of that version. Why? Let’s see it through again. On Piagam Jakarta version, sharia’ law only enforced to Muslims. And dare may I ask, are those who has been attacked by FPI 100% Muslims that have to follow the law of sharia’?

No. You can use any kind of survey, but I’m highly sure that the possibility of “punishing the lawbreaker” is way below 100%.

That’s one.

Secondly; “tatanan sosial, politik & hukum yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai syariat Islam” is also against Pancasila, even in Piagam Jakarta version.

I think it’s elementary, I don’t need to explain more. Just read my point above.

Third. Rizieq’s statement clearly stated that they position themself as the group above the law. A vigilante. Batman or Punisher wannabe. I’m not a lawyer, but that clearly against Indonesian positive law.

It’s against Pancasila, broke gazillion laws and obviously not serving the purpose of “amar ma’ruf nahi munkar” because I fail to see anything “amar ma’ruf” from beating the shit outta people.

Some may say that they help the recovery of Aceh, securing various religious ceremonies, and all that “positive campaign”. Guess what, that doesn’t nullify the infamous violent acts so lot they got its own listing on a Wikipedia article.

I mean, cut the crap. If Aburizal Bakrie build an orphanage, would it make him a saint? Hell no, people would label him as “cari muka”.

Seriously, get real.

These are old news, old facts rewritten, restated, and reposted.

And supposedly, reminding.

I can’t join any demonstration right now while I know my friends are struggling in Bundaran Hotel Indonesia. This is the least I can do.

And let me state this clearly.

FPI is NOT Islam.

Making a move against FPI is NOT making a move against Islam.

A wise man that affect me so much in my life once taught all of his students to: “Tidak membenarkan yang salah, namun tanpa kebencian.”

Be strong, my friends. I hope you all can continue yourt fight without hatred.

Aku Cinta Padamu.
